Choose your starting height
Low legs (around 50mm) – great as a first bed for children or for very low ceilings.
Standard legs (around 170mm) – a more typical bed height for everyday use.
Use your bed as normal
The frame, headboard and slats are all built from solid oak and quality timber, just like the rest of our range. Nothing feels temporary or flimsy.
When life changes, swap the legs
Want more height, more storage or easier access? Just switch to a taller set of legs. The bed frame itself stays exactly the same.
You can order one leg height to start with, or choose a “Grow-with-Me” pack that includes both leg heights so you’re ready for the future.
A Bed That Grows Up with Your Child
This idea started at home.
When our own child moved into their first “big bed”, we built an oak frame with extra-low 50mm legs so it felt safe, cosy and close to the floor. As they grew older and more confident, they wanted a “proper high bed” – so we didn’t replace the bed, we just swapped the legs for taller ones (around 170mm).
Same solid oak bed. Same mattress. Same familiar feel.
Just a better height for the next stage of life.
