Blengdale Solid Oak Bed Frame with Recessed Vertical Bed Legs

The Blengdale bed frame is all about quiet confidence – straight, vertical legs and clean lines that sit comfortably in both modern and classic interiors. Handcrafted in The Old Joinery, Berkhamsted, it showcases the beauty of solid oak through simple, well-resolved detailing.
The recessed vertical legs are expressed with a refined external joint where they meet the side rails. Instead of sitting at the corners, the legs are positioned approximately 200mm in from each end of the bed. This creates a more contemporary, “floating” impression and reduces the chance of knocking your feet when walking around the frame.
Here, the leg is not just a support – it acts as a calm, vertical statement within the overall design.
